2027 Quarters Release Dates
No release dates have been announced. The law starts the program on 1 January 2027; the U.S. Mint published the final 2027 designs on 26 October 2026 and has listed one product so far: the 2027 Proof Set, which includes the 2027 Youth Sports Quarters and ships in 2027. Dates for each coin go on this page as soon as the Mint publishes them.

What the Mint has announced
One product. The U.S. Mint's annual Proof Set subscription page lists the 2027 Proof Set as shipping in 2027, with every coin carrying the S mint mark of the San Francisco Mint. Its contents, as the Mint lists them:
- 2027 Youth Sports Quarters
- One Native American $1 coin
- One Kennedy half dollar (new)
- One Roosevelt dime, one Jefferson nickel and one Lincoln penny
The page gives an approximate price of $107 per subscription, billed when the set ships, with a product limit of 480,000 and no household order limit. The "new" Kennedy half dollar is the 2027 Kennedy half dollar, which pairs a new Kennedy portrait with wheelchair basketball.
How earlier quarter programs were released
Recent programs did not release a year's five quarters at once. The Mint released each design separately through the year, put each into circulation through the Federal Reserve, and sold rolls and bags of each design directly to collectors. Proof sets and silver proof sets of the year's five designs were also sold. Nothing announced so far says the youth sports series will work differently, but nothing confirms it yet either.

What happens next
The final designs are done: the U.S. Mint published all five 2027 quarters and the 2027 Kennedy half dollar on 26 October 2026. Still to come:
- Release dates. One date per coin, plus on-sale dates for rolls, bags and sets.
- Products and mintages. Beyond the 2027 Proof Set, the Mint has not said what it will sell.
- Designer credits. The Mint has not yet published who designed and sculpted each quarter.
- The 2028 designs. The 2028 sports are known: American football, swimming, gymnastics, lacrosse, and track and field. Their candidate designs should reach the CCAC and CFA in 2027, as 2027's did in February 2026.
The program runs through the end of 2030. The law lets the Mint keep issuing coins it has already struck after that, but no new youth sports designs.
